Skysmart Producer
Business development team
My Skyeng carrier was started in 2020. I began work in at producer position in the Business development department.
Webinars & Production
My first project was Large Classes a business development project in which I as a content producer and partly product manager launched new course formats: live webinars and short videos.
1
Day-30 — 40+% on webinar courses.
2
My colleagues and I have gathered a strong video production team and created 3 Unified State Exam courses in one month: math, Russian language and social studies. After that, we also have managed to increase the speed and quality of production. This made it possible to create 8 more courses within 6 months.
Content Discovery team
The Large Classes's good product metrics could not save the project and it was frozen because unit economics did not work with the marketing channels known to us.
The company has focused on finding alternative marketing channels by launching two new mass products. Skysmart Interactive Platform was the first to be launched. And a year later we also launched Skysmart Solutions.

1. Skysmart Interactive Platform is a product for school teachers where they can create homework for their class.
2. Skysmart Solutions is a product for students, where they can find understandable and correct explanations of all tasks from school books.

I worked in the Discovery Content team as a producer who also performed R&D functions. My colleagues and I had been testing various hypotheses in search of effective ways to improve the user experience within these products, as well as in search of more effective ways of online learning.
Discovery Lessons
The first hypothesis testing tool that we used was edutainment lessons that were offered to students after completing homework on Skysmart Interactive Platform.
1
My colleagues and I have built a process for choosing topics for lessons that children are more likely to enjoy. We have developed over 40 unique lessons in half a year.
2
I have done some experiments in search of effective motivational tools. For example, adding a feature to dynamically change the complexity of tasks, when a student can make tasks easier or more difficult.
3
I integrated proto-games (with the help of Google Slides) into the lessons, which became the forerunner for the game simulators developed later.
4
Unfortunately, a statistically significant number of users to approve / disprove the hypotheses were managed to gain in not all experiments.
Content LevelUp in math for children 10-11 years old
First of all, we designed new types of content such as explainer videos, entertaining videos, math tasks with stories that will be close to children and games. We call this group of formats discovery-content.
We planned that teachers would add in homework not only tasks from school books, but also our discovery-content. Teachers with access to this content should use our product for longer.
My focus was on the design and development of educational games. I alone produced a full cycle of game development with methodologist's consultations. One week — one game.
1
My colleagues and I published new content every week so that the content was relevant to the school curriculum. The problem we faced was that not all teachers teach the same topics at the same time. But thanks to cooperation with the Analytics Department, we could build a report that contained information about tens of thousands of tasks that teachers give to their students in real time. This allowed us to predict current topics with great accuracy for 1-2 weeks in advance.
2
In the end, I created by myself about 15 games and received 2000+ reviews from students and teachers. The average evaluation of games by teachers and students at the beginning of the experiment was 8.4 out of 10 points. But by the end, I managed to raise it to 9.0 points thanks to the analysis of reviews.
3
75% of users out of 2000+ reviews answered that they would be very upset if we removed the games.
4
And most importantly, my colleagues and I could prove that discovery-content increases teacher retention on our platform in the way we predicted.
Our team result in 2021
After Level-Up project
Successful experiments with educational games in the Discovery Content team allowed me to get the green light to create my own educational game development team as part of the Business Development Department.
